Creating Lasting Legacies,
One Family at a Time

I am a registered nurse, IBCLC, and birth doula CD (DONA) dedicated to seeing families thrive through birth support and education. Through my services, I create a space for every mom, no matter her unique circumstances, to feel seen, loved, and confident in her birth experience. I am here to support you during your unique pregnancy, whether it is through the services I offer, the resources on my blog, or a free consultation to determine how I can best support you on your journey.

According to DONA International a doula is “a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to their client before, during and shortly after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible”. A doula does not deliver babies or do any medical procedure. The main purpose is to support physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
IBCLC stands for International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. According to the IBCLE, “International Board Certified Lactation Consultants function and contribute as members of the maternal-child health team. They provide care in a variety of settings, while making appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community support resources. Working together with families, policymakers, and society, IBCLCs provide expert breastfeeding and lactation care, promote changes that support breastfeeding and help reduce the risks of not breastfeeding”.
There is so much misleading information out there about breastfeeding. Some of the most common ones I have encountered are that breastfeeding should come naturally and every mother will know how to do it. While there are some moms who find it comes easy and natural, most do not. That’s where a lactation consultant comes to play. Lactation consultants help with latch, milk supply, infant weight gain, and also just provide a listening ear. Lactation consultants directly impact a family’s breast feeding journey. My goal as an IBCLC is to help families build confidence and encourage them in their breastfeeding journey.
